Warning: whine session

"Strong foundations" may be what Mom calls our size nine feet, but I call them inconvenient. I mean c'mon! Sample size is a seven. Meaning that the sample sale I went to today (full of absolutely lust worthy flats, sandals, & heels) only includes, you guessed it, sevens. Darn sevens. I guess my sixth grade self would appreciate that. My 24-year-old self, however, does not.

so long brandnewfreakishlycuteandsuperinexpensiveDVFsandals ...tear.

sorry for the bad photo quality ...you're lookin at a picture taken with an antique blackberry. I like to think of it as vintage though.

as the sun rises

I occassionally check other blogs for inspiration and recently took a look at Blake Mycoskie's (of TOMS shoes) ...a precious soul with a huge heart. LOVE this poetic entry he wrote and wanted to share...

keys & birdcages

James Klein and David Reid of ceramics design firm KleinReid have created an absolutely stunning array of whimsical yet seriously stylish pieces that I die for!

After falling in love with the KleinReid vases (which are much too much for my student budget), I discovered that they also make adorable mini ceramic pieces that can be hung from a necklace ...fun! If you know me, then you know that I have a knack for necklaces and a weirdo obsession with keys ..so I immediately fell in love with this one:

Oh, and they have some super great prints too ...another one of my bizarre obsessions, birdcages:

Alice

When I was little there was a show on Disney called 'Adventures in Wonderland' and I was enthralled by it. When I found out that Tim Burton was creating a movie about Alice all grown up I was equally excited. When I saw this 2003 Vogue editorial of Natalia Vodianova in various awesome designers, I was in love! …and wanted to share…

In Alice’s words: “If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?”

in order: Helmut Lang; Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière; Viktor & Rolf; Tom Ford; Jean Paul Gaultier; Dior; Atelier Versace; Chanel; Christian Lacroix Haute Couture; Marc Jacobs

confession

It is true, I have an extremely unhealthy relationship with nutella. It is a pantry staple at our apartment. I eat it on everything, fruit, crackers, a spoon. Tonight I was comforted to hear that I am not alone. Apparently there is a Facebook page dedicated solely to nutella and it happens to be the 3rd most popular page on the entire website ...trailing closely behind Coca-Cola and Barack Obama ..who knew?!

uno, dos, trays

just how small is a typical new york apartment? so small that if a girl wants a simple little tray table, she can't have it ...because there's nowhere to put it! it's cute though, right?

on the end of my tea bag this morning: Grace brings trust, appreciation, love, and prosperity ...nice!

Holly Fulton: awesome.
I love how she looked to Eduardo Paolozzi’s 'Wittgenstein in New York' (top) ...exciting use of color and homage to Art Deco architecture.
A+ in my book
